January 1, 2008

Wishing you all the best in 2008!

quod erat demonstrandum.jpg

  1. Great picture! I’ll leave the whiskey and cigar for Santa Claus but the fire looks delightful and will even more after I get back from watching the neighborhood firework show. The sound effects are wonderful.

  2. Where’s the chocolate? *l* Happiest of New Years, Polar. *hugs*

  3. I’ll take the shot. You can have the cigar! I hope your new year is delightful and more than you could ever expect! (In only good ways, of course!)

  4. HAPPY NEW YEAR 😉 Ps I am thrawn ( an auld scots term) I like to walk in the woods at night, alone..no snow yet just rain.. My Canadian friend has met her soul mate and moved up North with him, my New year started feeling like I wished I could do the same.
I have no idea why I just told you that! all the best to you and yours..x

  5. I like the coziness of this pic! Wishing you a Happy New Year 2008 filled with love and new adventures!

  6. What a great looking fire and image. I do have one question, is this your fireplace burning? And, is it a propane/natural gas fire? The cigar looks hand rolled!

Many blessings for you this year my friend.

  7. Kym,
I like the idea of a big neighborhood fire works show! All we had was a single volley 3 gun salute. I’ll try to leave more than Scotch & a cigar next year.

Of course! Why didn’t I think of Chocolate! I will remedy that directly…

Thank you for the wishes. I,ll need then since I am expecting turbulence this year, but I believe it will be the good kind.

I’m sorry to hear you are unsettled right now. I am currently out of sorts as well. THRAWN is new to me but is a great word. Since you shared with me I can return the favor. For many early years I worked seasonally. When laid-off in Winter I would scrounge till Spring. This greatly befouled my mood for the whole season. Thrawn does describe how I felt. I hope for you an early Spring; lets say tomorrow… Did you ever think that maybe your Soul Mate is right now interviewing for a job near where you live. And, may that person bring you your long over due snow. Dobry Den.

Thank you, and Yes, it was quite cozy. So much so that we all went outside and made even a bigger one.

Yep it’s mine. It’s a natural Oak & Hickory (I’ll need to split some more too). The Cigar is a Romeo y Julietta Torpedo. I think it’s hand rolled but I’m still learning about cigars so.. Thank you for the blessings.

Thank you all so much for demonstrating to me that there are still good people in this world that are absolutely worth meeting & getting to know. I enjoy that you all have different opinions yet place respect for the individual before rampant emotions. May life place upon your Hearts Blessings of joy in this year to come.
Not always consistent but forever thankful. Yours truly.

  8. I see you are taking a break or just too busy with other things like me. I’m up for the table game anytime. Just stopped by to say hello since I had a few minutes.

    Peace my friend…

  9. Hawk,
It’s more of an unintentional break. An Avalanche of work, projects, & distractions. I may have to supplement if I can’t dig out soon.
